Lord Foul's Bane, Stephen Donaldson. VERY RARE.

Well, this is a little gem to find on your shelf.

Lord Foul's Bane... Donaldson, Stephen R. 1977 Ballantine Books.

I read this book when I was in my early teens, and it is a bit of a fantasy classic, the first of the Thomas Covenant chronicles, the archetypal anti hero, in the classic position of someone who is transported to another world, another reality but who unlike the usual fantasy character in the same position, deny's his existence there.

This particular edition is the first true first edition of the book that came out. It was a book club edition before it ever made it into general press and as such, there are not a huge number of copies, and certainly not many in the UK. This was first printed in 1977 by Ballantine Books before it's first general release by Del Rey Books. This is the true first edition.

Condition:- Edgworn and chipped dust jacket, with small tears to top and bottom edge (repaired), bumped, but not badly considering age, tight binding, foxed pages. Overall a good copy.

Price: £150

I have only found this particular book listed overseas. This is RARE in the UK.
